Battle of the Barrios

The Battle of the Barrios is an intercollegiate competition among Filipino student organizations around the area held in March of the spring semester. It is the biggest RAPS event of the year in which schools compete for Best Modern, Best Cultural, Best Skit, and Best Overall Performance. A panel of judges rates each schools performance on a scale of 1 to 5. Each school provides their own judge but for fairness he/she cannot vote for their own school. The event fosters a friendly spirit of competition while bringing everyone together.

Barrio Fiesta

Barrio Fiesta is the annual RAPS spring play shown in April that incorporates Filipino themes and cultural elements.

Flashback
Flashback is an Open-Mic night event co-sponsored by both RAPS and the Filipino League at Seton Hall (FLASH). RAPS and FLASH take turns hosting the event each year around November. The event consists of but is not limited to musical and vocal performances and spoken word.

Halo-Halloween

Halo-Haloween is the second biggest RAPS event held in October, usually the week before Halloween. Members enjoy dinner and Halo-Halo before a night of performances by bands, vocalists, dance troupes, short skits, spoken word and more. Members are encouraged to wear costumes in the spirit of Halloween.

RAPSgiving

Thanksgiving, RAPS style. Usually held the week before Thanksgiving break, the event gives members the chance to celebrate Thanksgiving with their fellow RAPS members.

Semiformal

RAPS end of the year event, usually the day after finals. Members celebrate the end of the year with a night of dancing and give the seniors a special treat! Winners of superlatives such as Best dressed, Most Photogenic, Most Atheltic, Best Hair, etc are announced.
