RAPS History

The Rutgers Association of Philippine Students (RAPS) was established by Filipino American students at the Rutgers University, New Brunswick campus in 1987. Since then, the organization has grown each year in educating the college community with Philippine culture through meetings and shows year-round. Our meetings promotes a cultural theme, where people could learn about our traditions and customs.
Talent is also seen through our annual shows, such as Halo-Halloween and our biggest event of the year, the Barrio Fiesta. We represents the tagalog word bayanihan which means family. Come and be part of our family!
